You can also park back up in Somersby Falls Rd then make the short walk back down to the falls.

After this spot you can carry on down the other staircase, which gives you a different perspective of the falls, with an extra cascade that you can’t see from the path with the better staircase. SUGGESTED EQUIPMENT: For anything beyond the main two falls I’d recommend good rockhopping boots. Our photos are taken after three days of fairly solid rain to help give you an idea. About 1/2hr bus trip + 2km/10min walk * Bus33/34 Stand6 Gosford station to Somersby Falls Rd near Ace Rd, Somersby then a short walk. The track can be a little difficult to follow but eventually you’ll get there.

Here are our best tips for visiting, including what the walking trail is like, and the best spots for photography. These Bus lines stop near Somersby Falls Picnic Area: Bus - 32. Camera wise take your usual selections of glass. Unfortunately not!! Misty mornings like any falls location are ideal. None of the pools are big enough, even after heavy rain. These are quite slippery to walk around so watch your step.
But I would not recommend this, unless you are happy to walk a fare bit and be tied down by timing, No it's too difficult to get to.
The Upper Somersby Falls. Moovit helps you find alternative routes or times. These are more difficult to get to and require a decent amount of fitness depending on how far you’d like to go downstream. The viewpoint at the bottom of the manicured steps is essentially one big rock, where there isn’t much space if it’s busy.
